A Florida woman is facing criminal charges after being accused of making sexually explicit videotapes of herself and her toddler at the request of a stranger on social media, authorities allege.
On Monday, Sept. 23, the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jenna Ann Hoffman, 21, of Brooksville, and charged her with four counts including lewd and lascivious molestation, victim under 12 Years of age; promoting sexual performance of a child; possession of sexual performance of a child with intent to promote; unlawful use of a two-way communication device to facilitate felony, according to online court records.

According to a statement from the HCSO, authorities received a tip on Sept. 23, from “a popular social media platform” containing photos and videos of child sex abuse material. “The digital files depicted a female performing sex acts with a toddler,” the statement said.
Detectives went to Hoffman’s residence, where a family member “immediately identified” the juvenile in a still shot from one of the videos as Hoffman’s 23-month-old child, the Sheriff’s Office alleges.
After receiving her Miranda rights, Hoffman “confirmed that she did in fact commit the sexual acts with her child,” the Sheriff’s Office alleges.
